Intel Corporation and Microsoft* Corporation have announced that they are joining forces to develop in-car computing platforms. Activities are already underway in developing advanced platforms based on the Intel architecture and Windows* CE/Auto PC. Looking

Intel's Connected Car PC Technology Showcased by Visteon Automotive Systems
This February in Detroit, at the 1998 Society of Automotive Engineers International Congress and Exposition, Visteon Automotive Systems debuted a revolutionary multimedia system targeted to be the first production-ready personal computer on the road. Visteon is an enterprise of Ford Motor Company. Its new multimedia system employs Intel's Connected Car PC technology and is powered by a Pentium® processor with MMX technology.
